Chips at the Seaside
A mini-game about trying to eat your chips at the seaside.
- Move left and right with the arrow keys
- Hold space to eat your chips
This is the third and final project inspired by an Indie Game Clinic YouTube video about the three beginner projects he recommends.
The brief set out the following design requirements:
- It must be set in a specific historical place and time. I chose childhood holidays by the beach
- It must be a single screen, score based game. In the game you build your score by eating your chips, and lose score if the seagulls get you
- The art used must be made or found in an analogue context. For this I used an ink and wash process, to create that hazy memory visual aesthetic.
- He also suggests work collaboratively on the project, but I wasn't able to do this.
